Tony Amoury Alkhoury
DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS
Tony Amoury Alkhoury has served as Middle East and Africa Director of Religious Affairs at White Mountain Research Group since 2021, supporting U.S.-based humanitarian and research initiatives focused on Christian and other religious communities affected by conflict, persecution, and displacement. In this role, he supports religious education and pastoral care initiatives through research, open-source monitoring, written reporting, documentation, and coordination, including translation and OFAC screening support as needed, in accordance with organizational policies.
Prior to his work with WMR, Tony spent nearly a decade serving as a Christian youth minister in Syria, working closely with churches and local leaders to provide religious education, pastoral care, and community support to young people and families impacted by war, displacement, and social fragmentation. Alongside his pastoral work, he also practiced as a clinical pharmacist, supporting community health needs in challenging settings.
Tony holds a Master of Divinity from Harvard University, a Master of Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and is currently completing his PhD in Practical Theology at Union Theological Seminary, where his research focuses on discernment, faith communities, and lived religious practice in contexts of conflict and recovery.
